Ron has always been a part of the family funeral business. He became a funeral director in 1997 after graduating from Worsham college of Mortuary Science. He was instrumental in the growth of the family business with the addition of the Mancelona Chapel in 2003, and the Winchester Chapel of Charlevoix in 2017. Serving and guiding families thru their grief journey are always his priority. In his spare time he enjoys hunting and being in the great outdoors
Holly came into the Mortensen Funeral Home family business in 1995 when she married Ron. She oversees all business transactions and handles the daily needs of the families. She is the mother of their three children, Jaynee, Isaac and Gavin and a volunteer throughout the community. Her hobbies include reading, walking the family dog Bo, and spending time enjoying the sunshine.
Gary has owned and operated the Mortensen Funeral Homes since 1980. He helps with all aspects of the business and especially enjoys talking with people at visitation.
In his spare time Gary enjoys spending time with his 5 grandchildren and working on projects of all kinds.

Wife, Mother, and Grandmother Extraordinaire
Susie moved to Central Lake in 1980 with her husband Gary and their two children, Stephanie and Ron, to help take care of and run the Mortensen Funeral Homes. Her loving, kind and unselfish ways have helped this business grow and be known throughout the communities. She is a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother who is loved by all who meet her.
Kasey grew up in Bellaire Michigan, and has been a lifelong resident of Antrim County. He married Jaynee (Mortensen) Poel, daughter of Ron and Holly, in August of 2017. He attended Worsham College of Mortuary Science and graduated in September of 2018. He has since finished his apprenticeship, and is now a Licensed Funeral Director with MFH. Kasey is well known in the community for his kind words, tender heart, and great personality. In his free time Kasey enjoys spending time with his family, including his 8 nieces and nephews, playing basketball, and ice fishing. He has been a wonderful addition to the Mortensen Funeral Homes staff.
Jaynee has been involved in the Funeral Home industry her whole life. She is married to Kasey Poel, who also works for MFH. She graduated from Central Lake High School, and has been a life long resident of Antrim County. She started working in the family business when she was 15. She has always loved working with her family, and helping families in their time of need. She now works full time in the Charlevoix Chapel office. Jaynee enjoys spending time with family, taking long boat rides, and socializing with her friends.
Isaac has been involved in the Mortensen Funeral Homes his whole life. Since age 8, Isaac knew he would join the family business of serving and taking care of others in their greatest time of need. A lifelong resident of Central Lake, Isaac is well known in Antrim County and beyond for his passion for the business, warm smile, and giving heart. In August of 2019 Isaac married Claudia Mortensen, and they are expecting their first baby in the summer of 2020. Isaac graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in March of 2020 and is now working his apprenticeship. In his free time Isaac enjoys hunting, snowmobiling, watching sports, and spending time with his family and friends.
