Obituary

Robert "Beau" Beaumont, 87, of Charlevoix passed away Monday, October 4 at 12:30 a.m. 2021, at American House in Charlevoix, MI.  Beau was born December 4, 1934 in Lorain, Ohio to Auty Ernest and MaryAnn Gertrude Beaumont.


Robert, a graduate of High School in Ohio went on to Central Michigan University (CMU) with a degree in education with majors in English/Journalism/Physical Education.  His entire professional career was spent at Bangor Township Schools from which he retired and met his wife Mary Ann.

Beau- was active in many organizations of which included: Charlevoix Country Club (President 2000), Charlevoix Elks 2856, Michigan Education Association, Central Michigan University Fraternity - Phi Sigma Phi, Bay County Sports Hall of Fame Inductee, State Champion Coach 1968 Track and Field

Bob was involved with a myriad of volunteer work: Blood Drives, Soup Kitchen, Fundraisers, Ballgames, Ski Adventures, Tourism and Mystery Adventures.  Beau was a golfer/ski bum, lover of his old Chevy Truck, beer/gin and cabin on the river Maple.

He was preceded in death by his wife, MaryAnn and son, Britt.

Bob is survived by his brother, Ed (Gloria) Scudder of Parry Sound, Canada and several nieces and nephews.

Bob requested a private burial on 10/6/2021 next to MaryAnn and Britt.

Private Memorial Service to be held at a later date in Charlevoix.
