William John Buckwheat

William John Buckwheat, 83 of Mancelona died June 5, 2023 after enjoying the last few years at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.  He was born December 31, 1939 in Antrim, the son of William and Eleanor (Martin) Buckwheat.  

He was a member of the Antrim Church of Christ and loved to spend time in the garden.  He also enjoyed crafts such as doing beads and coloring.  

Surviving are his siblings JoAnn Allen, Jason Buckwheat, Michael (Sandra) Buckwheat, stepbrother Braverd (Donna) Buckwheat, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister in law Betty Buckwheat.

Interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.

Arrangements are in the care of the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
