Wendy Sprague

Wendy R. Sprague,  32, of Mancelona,  passed away on June 13, 2017 at home.

Wendy was born on July 17, 1984, in Traverse City, MI, the daughter of John and Dolores (Prentice) Sprague.

Wendy was a lifelong resident of Mancelona.  She enjoyed the outdoors, especially going on walks with her dog “Baby”.  She loved animals and had many pets of her own through the years.

She was also a talented artist.

She is survived by her father John Sprague of Central Lake, a brother Justin Sprague of Mancelona, sister Amy Sprague of Mancelona, her paternal grandfather Roy Sprague of Rapid City as well as several cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her mother Dolores Sprague, her paternal grandmother and both maternal grandparents.

A viewing and visitation time to celebrate Wendy’s life will take place on Saturday, June 17 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  No formal services will take place.

Burial will take place  at  St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family through Mortensen Funeral Homes.
