Virginia "Ginnie" Saul

Virginia “Ginnie” Ann Saul, 94, of Charlevoix passed away peacefully on March 30th with her dear friend Linda Whitley by her side. Ginnie now joins her parents, Ruth and Carl Puterbaugh, in Heaven.

One of the strongest hearts you could ever know, she was family to many. Ginnie was born in Montgomery County, Ohio and raised in Trotwood where she completed school at Madison Twp High. After high school, Ginnie began her life of adventure or “nine lives” as she referred to it. She lived in many places spanning all the way from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Charlevoix the Beautiful. Her stories were known to bring tears of laughter or make some blush. Ginnie was proof that love, laughter, and community are the most important parts of living. She also taught us that it doesn’t take blood to make you family.

Her legacy will remain as The Flower Lady, Sidewalk Superintendent, Queen of Charlevoix, and most importantly our dear friend. We will miss all of her love, inappropriate humor, and the soft putter of her little gold car approaching.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. We ask in celebration of her life please honor her by sharing stories of her quick wit and humor, planting beautiful bright flowers, or making a donation to the Charlevoix Public Library.

Arrangements are in the care of the Charlevoix Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  Please sign her online guestbook at www.mortensenfuneralhomes.com
