In Loving Memory of USAF Maj (Ret) Vincent P. Beilman Jr.
Vincent Beilman Jr. departed from this world on January 31, 2024. He passed away peacefully at 91 in his home with his loving wife of nearly sixty years, Audrey A. Beilman, by his side.
Born on November 20, 1932, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Vincent lived a life filled with purpose, compassion, and a commitment to those he held dear. He was the loving son of Vincent P. Beilman Sr. & Lelia M. (Quillen) Beilman and brother to Lorraine M. (Beilman) Hurd, all of whom preceded him in passing from this earth.
Vincent was an Officer, a gentleman, a devout Catholic, a loving husband, a father, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was known throughout his life for his love of family, as well as a lifelong fascination with airplanes and flying and his distinguished, twenty-year service to his country in the United States Air Force, including very proud service in Vietnam during the war. After his long career in the Air Force, Vincent went on to a second career as an engineering draftsman with Greiner Engineering in Tampa, FL.
Vincent spent his retirement years on Beaver Island in northern Michigan where he spent time with beloved family and friends. While on Beaver island, Vincent was a regular volunteer in AMVETS and other organizations, as well as attending mass regularly. He was also a gardener and an artist who cultivated his substantial talent building model airplanes, all of which were proudly displayed throughout his and Audrey’s beautiful lakeside home.
Vincent is survived by his wife, Audrey, and his daughter Susan M. (Beilman) Brimmer and son Vincent P. Beilman III, as well as his grandchildren, Emily, Christopher, Taylor, Grace and Emma, and great grandchildren Aidan, Cooper, McKenna and Brooks. Vincent is also survived by a multitude of friends and extended family who will forever cherish the memories shared with him. He will be profoundly missed and remembered for his enduring impact on the lives of those he touched.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of USAF Maj. (Ret) Vincent P. Beilman Jr. will be held this summer on Beaver Island. Family and friends will be invited to join in honoring his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to AMVETS Post 46, Box 319 Beaver island MI 49782 (231-448-3088), reflecting Maj. (Ret) Vincent P. Beilman Jr.’s dedication to the Post and men and women who served in the Armed Forces of the United States.
May Maj. (Ret) Vincent P. Beilman Jr. find eternal peace, and may the memories of his love and laughter provide comfort to all who mourn his passing.
