Victoria "Vicky" Anderson

Victoria “Vicky” Lynn Anderson, 69, of Elmira, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 21, 2024.  She was born on June 11, 1954, in Ypsilanti, MI, the daughter of Leo and Dorothy (Estes) Renda.

Vicky graduated from Milan High School in 1972, and stayed in the general area for most of her working life.  It was there that she raised her family, and worked at JAC Products, as well as McDonalds.  Upon retiring, she and her husband moved to Elmira about 15 years ago.

Vicky was always up for adventures of just about any kind; she enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, riding 4-wheelers, and much more.   In the summer, there was a good chance you would see her at a garage sale looking for treasures.  She was a great host as well, making sure there was plenty of food for everyone.

On November 9, 1978, in Milan, MI, Vicky married the love of her life, Dale Anderson, who survives.  Also surviving are her two sons, Lance (Kathryn) Anderson of Elmira and Travis (Christine) Anderson of Mio; two step-sons, Dale Jr. (Angela) Anderson of TN and Erwin Anderson of Ypsilanti; two brothers, Rocky (Marsha) Renda and David Renda; 10 grandchildren, Ashley, Dale III, Scott, Michael, Alisha, Mariah, Austin, Morgan, Joanna, and Rowan; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of Vicky’s life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.

Arrangements are in the care of the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  Please sign her online guestbook at www.mortensenfuneralhomes.com
