Versile "Hap" Dawson

Versile Lee “Hap” Dawson Jr., 90, went to his reward on December 1, 2025. Hap was born in Central Lake April 28, 1935 to Versile Lee Dawson Sr. and Doris Marie (Oliver) Dawson.

He worked 42 years at Lamina Bronze until his retirement. Upon retiring he made several trips to Alaska and spent winters on Lake Seminole in Georgia. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and growing tomatoes.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Sylvia; son, Daniel; daughter, Jean; son, James; and brother, Larry. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, William.
