VERINA HUNT 82, of Mancelona, died on May 16, 2008 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Verina was born on November 27, 1925 in Cheboygan, Michigan, the daughter of Peter and Alice (Enos) Rabior. Verina was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed sports, especially Detroit Tiger and Chicago Cubs baseball. She also enjoyed watching Monty Hall, Judge Judy and various game shows, especially Price is Right. Verina was a long time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona. She is survived by ten children, Fred (Darlene) Hunt Jr., of Bellaire, James Hunt of Mancelona, Thomas Hunt of Bellaire, Ruth Lacy of Zephryhills, Fla., Mary (John) Jefferson of Greenwood, IN., Fern Vandergriff of Mancelona, Elizabeth "Betty"(Dale) Lage of Waterford, Sue (Jay) Robinson of Mancelona, Deborah Hunt of Traverse City and Patricia (Rich) Ralston of Williamsburg. She is also survived by a brother Joe Rabior of St. Clair Shores, many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Hunt Sr., a daughter Barb Hunt, two brothers, two sisters and her parents. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Eleven a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona. Fr. Dale Magoon will officiate. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona. Visitation will take place on Mon. from 4-8 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Anthony Catholic Church.
