Todd Andrew Wilcox, 55, of Elburn, IL and Bellaire, MI, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021. Todd was born February 1, 1966, in Worcester, MA, the son of Terry Lee and Susie E. (Jacobs) Wilcox.
Todd was a self-starter in all areas of his life. He launched a lawn-mowing business when he was just 10 years’ old. He graduated from The University of Wisconsin-Stout in 1989 with a Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality and became an Eagle Scout in 1984. He joined the Country Companies family in 1995 as an insurance agent, where he found his passion -- focusing on investment and retirement planning and mentoring others, where he remained dedicated to his clients and colleagues for the last 26+ years. In 2007, he and Laura married and, in 2018, grew their family with a very special Portuguese Waterdog, Gander.
Todd’s biggest joys were snowmobiling in the Upper Peninsula, boating the blue waters of Michigan, bicycling, architectural drawing and learning all he possibly could about classic and hot rod cars. He genuinely loved helping anyone, in any type of situation, and was the “go to guy” for those with questions on special projects or how to achieve their goals. He truly listened to those around him and offered genuine kindness, care and compassion to everyone he met along his journey. He will be missed at a level which cannot possibly be measured.
Todd is survived by his loving wife, Laura; his parents, Terry (Barb) Wilcox of West Yarmouth, MA, and Susie Wilcox (Bob Postal) of Naperville, IL; his brother, Jack Wilcox of Naperville, IL; and his furry son, Gander.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Kelly Anne Wilcox. Beloved grandparents, John & Elizabeth Jacobs and Hubie & Marie Wilcox.
A celebration of Todd’s life will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapelstreet Church, located at 2300 South Street, Geneva, IL 60134.
