Susan Marie Austin

Susan Marie Austin, 77, of Bellaire passed away on November 22, 2024 at the Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe, MI after surviving a stroke in October of 2023. Sue was born on April 19, 1946 in Detroit to Marie (Samardich) Dean and Virgil Olsen. On August 1, 1970, Sue was united in marriage to Donald Austin in Kalkaska County. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2016. 

Sue was a movie buff who also loved being outdoors, working in her flowers, going to Lake Michigan with her family, talking to her sister for hours and WWE Wrestling. 

Sue is survived by 3 nieces who loved her endlessly, Anne (Tom) Ziel of Pigeon MI, Eileen (Corey) Bailey of St. Louis MI and Lynne Hawes of Haslett MI. A brother, Lawrence (Debbie) Olsen of NV, brothers in law, Bill (Anna) Austin, Larry (Glennis) Austin, Dick (Carol) Austin and sister-in-law Charlene Austin. She was also blessed with many great and great-great nieces and nephews that were a huge part of her life. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Linda Worth and her parents. 

Sue’s nieces, Anne, Eileen, and Lynne would like to express their love for her and say, “We loved her B’s.”

A special thank you to the caring and loving medical staff on the 2nd floor circle at the Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe, MI for the excellent care they provided for Sue for over a year.

A memorial will be arranged at a later date.
