Sherry Lee Windish

Sherry L. Windish, 73 of Mancelona, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2022 surrounded by her family.  “Suz” was born on October 6, 1948, to Leslie and Vada (Howell) Watkins and married Randy L. Windish on January 1, 1972.

   Sherry loved going to garage sales, the casino, and listening to country music, especially Alan Jackson.  She loved spending time with her family too.

   She is survived by her husband, Randy Windish of Mancelona, her children, Jeff (Kristie) St. John of Hawthorne, FL, Sherry (Kathy) Windish of Interlochen, James (Kristy) Windish of Mancelona, Randi (Eric) Wilkinson of Mancelona, sisters Jenny (Don) Miller of Kalkaska, Arlyn Harris of Mancelona, and brother Jerry (Pat) Watkins of Britton, 7 grandchildren, Ashley, Michael, Bradley, Sharee, Hailee, Carter, Izabella, 7 great grandchildren Devon, Aaliyah, Antonio, Olivia, Korbyn, Blaykleigh, and Jordan.  Also surviving are several step grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, sister and brother in laws, and extended family, Alice Ottgen.

   Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.
