Sherry Fisher

Sherry Lynn Fisher, 66, of Ellsworth passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020. She was born on August 11, 1953 in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of Harvey and Joyce (Everett) Watros.

Sherry graduated from Central Lake High School in 1971.  Her family meant the world to her, especially her grandchildren.  She cherished every moment with them, particularly at family get-togethers and reunions.  Sherry will be remembered as a tough, independent – occasionally stubborn – woman, and her stories will live on through her family.

Sherry is survived by her three children, William “Lee” (Marilyn) Watros of Ewa Beach, HI, Thomas Fisher of Grayling, and Jennifer (Myron) Johns-McIntire of Prudenville, MI; her brother, William “Bill” (Veronica) Watros of East Jordan; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her significant other of the past 10 years, Ralph Hess of Ellsworth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Joyce Watros; two brothers, Terry Watros, and Alan Watros; three sisters, Donna Priebe, Allene Potter, and Ellen Duncan; a son-in-law, Anthony Johns; and life partner Charles Forbes.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. pm Monday, February 24 at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes, 2333 S. Main St., Central Lake, MI 49622.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123, or Good Samaritan Family Services, 9746 Main St, Ellsworth, MI 49729.

Arrangements are in the care of the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  Please sign her online guestbook at www.mortensenfuneralhomes.com
