Shelby Parks

Shelby Elizabeth Parks, 35, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a 2 year long battle with melanoma on March 6, 2026. She was born on February 6, 1991, and was born and raised in Boyne City, Michigan.

Shelby will be remembered for her caring heart, her strength, and the love she shared with those around her. Growing up in Boyne City, she formed many meaningful friendships and memories that remained close to her throughout her life. Shelby had a warm spirit and a natural way of bringing comfort, laughter, and kindness to the people who knew her.

She is survived by her mother Lori Hull-Lucas (Ryan), siblings Taylor and Devin, 1 niece and 3 nephews who she loved very much, her grandparents Marie Hughey, Ann and Harley Parks, and Papa Chuck Sinnott, her father Scott Parks and her partner Jeremy Wiesenauer and their beloved daughter, Betty Wiesenauer along with many other family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory. Shelby was preceded in death by her grandpa Don Hull and Grammy Betty Sinnott.

Shelby’s greatest joy was the love she had for her daughter, Betty. Along with reading books, music, her plants, crochet, and lego projects. Her life, though far too short, was filled with moments that left lasting memories for those who loved her most. She will be deeply missed forever and lovingly remembered.

A celebration of Shelby’s life will be held at a later date. Family and friends are invited to come together to share stories, remember the joy Shelby brought into their lives, and honor the love she leaves behind.

Shelby Elizabeth Parks will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Arrangements are in the care of the Charlevoix Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
