Shannon Spring Dreyer, 52, of Petoskey, passed away on March 20, 2026.
Shannon was born on April 4, 1973, in Cincinnati, the daughter of William and Dianne (Hater) Dreyer.
Shannon lived a life defined by love, positivity, and a deep connection with others. Her incredible outlook and uplifting spirit touched countless people. She had a rare gift for bringing light into every room she entered, and her presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. With a heart of gold, she was always willing to give without hesitation, showing a generosity and unconditional love that knew no limits.
She found joy in life’s simplest and most meaningful moments—time at the beach, a deep appreciation for art, and any opportunity to celebrate life, especially holidays shared with family and friends. Shannon was an extraordinary writer and a true creative soul, with a lasting love for music. A devoted fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and the Miami Heat, she supported her teams with unwavering enthusiasm.
A lifelong stargazer and dreamer, Shannon held a love for astronomy, and her sense of wonder never faded. She carried that same curiosity and awe into every part of her life.
Shannon also adored her beloved dog, Chaeli, whose companionship brought her constant happiness.
Above all, Shannon cherished her family. She is survived by her loving mother, Dianne Dreyer; her brother, William Dreyer of Charlevoix; her sisters, Jill (Kevin) McMaster of Cincinnati and Kelly Dreyer of Chicago; and her treasured nieces and nephews—Liam, Julianne, Riley, Declan, Molly, and Kellan—who were the light of her life.
She was preceded in death by her father, with whom we find comfort knowing she is now reunited.
A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Charlevoix. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time mass begins at 1:00. A reception will follow at the Weathervane restaurant 2:30-4:30pm, all are welcome.
