Shane Hunt

Shane Frederick Hunt, 48, of Jenison, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 5, 2021.  He was born on February 24, 1973 in Traverse City, MI, the son of Frederick and Darlene (Gregory) Hunt. Shane enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, and playing with his Great Pyrenees, Sammie.  He worked for SpartanNash as a Meat Manger, Merchandiser and most recently as a Produce Inspector for more than 20 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila (Fasel) Hunt; two children, Ethan Hunt and Karlie Hunt; his parents, Frederick and Darlene Hunt; and his sister, Jessie (Donald) Buckmaster. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frederick and Verina Hunt, and his maternal grandparents, Darlo and Bernice Gregory and several aunts, uncles and a cousin.
Graveside services will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Bellaire on Monday August 16, 2021 at 1 PM.  Afterwards, a short service will continue at the family home as the family plants a apple tree in his honor. Refreshments will be available during this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hunt family for expenses.
