Scott Wyatt

Scott Allen Wyatt, 67, of Charlevoix, MI, passed away quietly at home on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. He was born and raised in suburban Detroit, graduating from Birmingham Groves High School. His vocational training in Machine Repair enabled him to work in the auto industry as a Journeyman over the next 20 years.

Scott loved cars, especially his 1969 Camaro. He also loved fishing and watching sunsets, happily spending many summer vacations on Beaver Island and along Lake Charlevoix doing both. He achieved his dream of moving north and has been residing for the last 20 years near Charlevoix and Boyne City.

Scott was very intelligent and creative, designing and making jewelry and woodcrafts of many kinds that he loved to give as gifts. With his carpentry skills he offered his services as a handyman to friends and neighbors. His masterpiece is the six-sided garden shed he designed and built for his mother, using leftover logs, windows, cabinets and the door from the original log cabin.

Scott will be remembered for his friendliness and generosity. He was thrilled to become a grandfather. He also had a gentle, loving way with all animals. He leaves behind his beloved mother, sister Jan, brother Keith (Mary), two sons Michael (Maya) and David (Tram), and his grandson Liam as well as nieces, cousins and friends. Preceding him in death were his father, and sister Debra.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational Church UCC of Charlevoix.

A celebration of Scott’s life will be arranged for this autumn. Date to be announced.
