Sara Anne Cherven, 83, of Mancelona, formerly of Roscommon, passed away on January 21, 2026. She was born on December 1, 1942, in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of William G. Ingleson and Margaret DeWaele Ingleson.
Sara retired as a public librarian from Roscommon and Interlochen Schools. She enjoyed reading, being outdoors, rock hunting, bird watching, and spending time at her favorite place, Lake Michigan. With her unique and loving personality, she was always bringing smiles and fun to everyone. Sara loved her family more than anything else, to infinity and beyond.
She is survived in death by four children, Cynthia (Pat) Esckilsen of Roscommon, Craig Cherven of Mancelona, Christine McGuire of Bellaire, Carrie (Jim) Schaub of Mancelona, three brothers, John Ingleson, Jim Ingleson, Hob Ingleson, three sisters, De-De McManus, Elizabeth Bauer, Susie Rumbach, seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that she cherished and adored.
Preceding Sara in death are her parents, one brother, Dave Ingleson.
Memorial Donations can be made to Munson Hospice of Northern Michigan.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer to honor her wishes.
