Sandra Lynne Crandall

Sandra Lynne Crandall, 79, of Alden, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022, at home. She was born November 3, 1943, the daughter of Erwin and Audrey (Schief) Blue.

Sandy loved her family more than anything. She always enjoyed family reunions, where you could find some of her famous baked goods. When Sandy had free time, she was on the lake fishing. If she was not fishing, you could find her on a motorcycle trip, playing her iPad, or playing bingo. Sandy loved to dance to the Polka and pick flowers.

On April 15, 1961, Sandy married the love of her life Vern, who survives. Also surviving are 2 children, Tom (Judy) Crandall of Alden, Theresa (Gerry) Hopkins of Petoskey, 3 sisters, Mabel Grochowalski of Lowell, Barbara Blue of Lowell, Patricia (Jack) Cisler of Clarksville, 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Carol Blue.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, son Terry Crandall, brother William Blue, sister Jacki Hoffman.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 3, at 11 a.m., also at the Mancelona Chapel. A visitation will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
