Russell Isham

Russell E. Isham 88 of Flint, passed away July 26, 2025 at McLaren Hospital. He was born December 7, 1936 in Flint the son of Russell and Susie "Maureen" (Beatty) Isham.

Russell was a dedicated employee of General Motors for over 30 years before retiring. In his younger years he enjoyed boating, fishing, and being on the lake. He also loved old cars and going to car shows too. In his later years, he could often be found watching Law and Order and an occasional visit to the Casino. Russell treasured his family and spending time with them.

Surviving is his loving wife Catherine (Banacki) Isham, children Debra Isham, Michelle Isham, sister Elizabeth Gilmour, siblings in law Jan, Philip and Terry, Karen and Don, Cheryl and Doug, dear nieces and nephews Kristen (Luke), Lori (Elliot), Brian (Dana), Andy, Kris (Aurora), Kyle, Anthony (Marvina), Roman, and one grandson Corey. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother in law Bill, and nephew Matthew.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 9, at 12 Noon at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake, with guests asked join for a luncheon at The Blue Pelican Inn, at approximately 2 p.m.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 12, at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Assembly of God, 4363 W. Mount Morris Rd., Mount Morris, MI 48458.

Memorial Contributions can be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
