Ronald Leroy Misiak

Ronald L. Misiak,  84, of Elmira, Lakes of the North, passed away on March 19, 2023 in Bradenton, FL.

   He was born on August 21, 1938, in Detroit, the son of John and Rose (Burman) Misiak.

   Ron owned and operated his own trucking company for many years.   His favorite things to do were traveling with his wife Joanne all over the United States, gardening and keeping up with all current events.

   He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army where he earned rank of E3.

   On February 6, 1960, in Detroit, he married Margaret "Joanne" Schubert who survives.

   Also surviving are 4 sons, Ronald (Shery) Misiak of Macomb, MI, Robert Misiak of Bradenton, FL, Gary (Michelle) Misiak of Gaylord, Keith Misiak of Elmira, 5 grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew, Michael, Zacary, Alyssa, 2 great-grandchildren, Dominic and Thomas as well as many nieces and nephews.

   Preceding him in death were his parents, and 7 siblings, Lottie Michalczak, Jan Misiak Raymond Misiak, Frank "Butch" Misiak, Richard Misiak, Gerald Misiak and Dennis Misiak.

   A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 3-8 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.

   A graveside service, with military honors will follow on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.

   Arrangements are in the care of the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
