Ronald Kaminski

Ronald Kaminski, 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Serene Gardens in Imlay City.  He was born on February 2, 1939.

Ron graduated from high school, and shortly thereafter began to learn the trade of pipefitting.  He worked as a pipefitter at the Chrysler Corporation until his retirement on May 31, 2001.

Ron had a fascination for collecting Lionel Trains which began when he was a young boy.  His collection was one of his most prized possessions, which he loved to show his grandchildren his display and teach them about each train.  He shared this passion with his friends Richard and Bill, and throughout the years, they attended many train shows together.

One of his favorite places to spend time with his family was at the family cabin in Lewiston where they enjoyed the beauty of Northern Michigan in a multitude of ways.  They also had a boat slip at a marina in Harrison Township where his family shared many fond memories spending time on the family boat, fishing, and playing in the water. This was also a place where they could all relax and hang out with friends and family, laughing, and enjoying life.

Ron is survived by his three children, Kim (Steve) Babcock, Chris (Lisa) Kaminski, and Cassandra (Robert) Halas; his brother-in-law, Raymond Hadcock; and five grandchildren, Justin, Kevin, Kayla, Hannah, and Katelyn.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Kaminski; his parents; his sister, Caroline (Bunny) Osowski; and his brother, Kenneth Kaminski.
