Ron Archey

Ron Alan Archey, 58, of Charlevoix, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at his home.  He was born on October 13, 1963 in Manitowoc, WI, the son of Henry and Lois (Ruleau) Archey.

Ron graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1982, and has been a resident of Charlevoix since then.  He worked as a cashier at the Family Fare in Charlevoix for 27 years.  He enjoyed listening to music of all kinds, as well as collecting CD’s, records, and other music memorabilia.  He also liked to read and watch movies, and he had a vast knowledge of past generations of singers and actors.

Ron is survived by his three siblings, Cheryl “Patty” Reinhart (Michael Pearsall), Henry “Beano” (Cheryl) Archey, and Julie (Rick) Archey-Wilson; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Jan Donnelly.

A memorial visitation will take place on Monday, October 10, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Charlevoix Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes, 209 State St., Charlevoix, MI 49720.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charlevoix Area Humane Society, 614 Beardsley St., Boyne City, MI 49712.
