Robin Ann Stanley

Robin Ann Stanley, 64 of Echo Township, passed away peacefully, August 25, 2025. She was born May 19, 1961 in Detroit, the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (VanAtter) Gaubis.

Robin was a proud graduate of the University of Michigan and a dedicated employee of Industrial Magnetics before retiring after 30 years of exemplary service. She valued her coworkers and often said she had the best coworkers anyone could ever wish for!

Robin had a great love for the outdoors. Whether it was hiking, biking, skiing, or just enjoying the scenery, she enjoyed time outside in all the seasons. She especially enjoyed skiing, and spent 31 plus years training and coaching others in the sport too. Robin loved it so much that on March 8, 2014, she and her future husband Bill, tied the knot on a picturesque side of a mountain in Telluride, CO.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband Bill Stanley and their blended family Josh Stanley, Katie (Dan) Newsted, and grandchildren Allie and Henry Newsted. Also surviving are her brother John (Monta) Hirzel with nephews Ed (Dan) Hirzel, sister Karen (Warren) Elliott with nephews and nieces Sean (Lisa) Connelly and Keri (Jamie) Hagness, her in-laws William and Mary Jane Stanley, brother-in-law David (Alyce) Stanley, sister-in-law Lori Stanley, and her favorite dog Deke, the little Aussie menace!

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Memorial contributions can be directed to TOMMBA, Top of Michigan Mountain Bike Association, PO BOX 112, Boyne City, MI 49712.

Arrangements are in the care of the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Please sign her online guestbook www.mortensenfuneralhomes.com.
