Robert R. Gieseck 84 of Mancelona passed away on December 17, 2020, at Munson Medical Center.  Bob was born on August 5, 1936, in Licking County, OH, the son of Russell and Janice (Herb) Gieseck.

He enjoyed outdoor activities, especially snowmobiling, four wheeling and boating.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and was a long time member of the Mancelona Baptist Church.

On January 21, 1955, in Pataskala, OH, he married Ruby Mae Keyse who survives.  Also surviving are 2 children Roger (Kerry) Gieseck of Mancelona, Robin (Rick) Kiekens of Canton, MI, a sister Ruby Smith of Ashley, OH.  2 grandsons, Chad Trempert of Dallas, TX and Andrew Southwell of MI, 2 step-grandchildren Eric (Shelby) Kiekens of Westland, MI and Cara (Michael) Satterwhite of Bellville, TX.  2 great-grandsons, James and Brooks Trempert, 8 step-great-grandchildren, Brenden, Alyssa, Kayden and Lexi Kiekens, all of Westland, MI, Taylor, Anna, Aiden and Mikey Satterwhite, all of Bellville, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, from 6-8 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 23, at 12 noon also at the funeral home with Pastor Dave McCarthy officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mancelona Baptist Church, 609 N. Jefferson, Mancelona, MI 49659.
