Rebecca "Becky" Fisher

Rebecca Sue “Becky” Fisher, 63 of Bellaire, passed away on Sunday, July 19th, 2026, at her home. The fourth child of Jack and Shirley (McLellan) Lowe, Becky was born on August 21st, 1962 in Petoskey, Michigan.

Becky’s parents owned the Dream Acres Motel in Bellaire. During the summer, you could find Becky selling painted rocks for a quarter to the motel guests.

Becky’s love for music started at a very young age. She had the most beautiful voice, and with the help of her father, Becky learned how to play guitar. She loved all types of music, but for those that knew Becky, knew that her favorite musician was John Denver. Becky’s dad, Jack, took her to her very first John Denver concert, and that sparked a love for live music, and was the first of many concerts Becky would enjoy. In her younger years, Becky would sing the most beautiful rendition of “You Don’t Send me Flowers Anymore.”

Becky’s first job was as a Water Girl at Meadowbrook, before working as a waitress at the Bellaire Golf Course. Becky later moved to Petoskey, where she became a Unit Clerk at the hospital. After dedicating over 20 years of service with a passion for taking care of others, Becky retired from the heart and vascular center.

Becky’s greatest accomplishments were her two sons, Cory and Jesse. Anytime Becky would speak about her boys, she would beam. She always wanted to be a mom, and she loved them with her entire being.

Becky loved all things animals, nature, adventure, and especially enjoyed being on the lake, soaking up the sun. She loved camping and traveling, and one of her greatest adventures was riding a mule down The Grand Canyon where she camped at the bottom. She was fearless. Beckly loved any scary movie, haunted house, ghost stories, rollercoasters, and any fast ride, which was a bonus for her boys, & nieces and nephews.

Halloween was her absolute favorite holiday, and she would go all out, especially for her niece, Jenny. Becky would throw her and her friends the most memorable Halloween parties.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Cory Jack Fisher and Jesse Maxon Fisher (Adrielle Tecson), both of whom live in Bellaire, and a granddaughter Mia, who was the light of her life. Surviving is sister Ruth Lowe, brothers Timothy (Gina) Lowe and Joel (Donna) Lowe, and sister-in-law Cathy Tipton Lowe. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Jeff) Kadlec, Andrew Lovett, Brandon Lovett, Micah Lovett, Sarah (Bryan) Parshall, Rachel (Kevin) Womack, Jordan (Madison) Lowe, Nathan Lowe, Nicholas (Madison) Lowe, several great nieces, nephews, cousins, and her best friend, Margaret Hartmen.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Shirley Lowe, brother Justin Lowe, and ex-husband, Fred Fisher.

A celebration of life will be held on August 21st 2026 at the pavilion in Richardi Park in Bellaire.
