Raymond A. Harkabusic 58 of Bellaire died suddenly June 29, 2023, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.  He was born May 7, 1965 in Dearborn Heights the son of Raymond and Nettie (Mermuys) Harkabusic.

 

   Ray was an active member in the bowling community and helped coach the Bellaire High School bowling team.  He enjoyed being in the great outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing, or camping with his family and friends.  He also liked to golf.  Ray worked for 20 years at Shanty Creek Resorts and was a member of the Gaylord Eagles and VFW in FL.

 

   Surviving is his wife of 30 years, Barbara (Grody) Harkabusic, his mother Nettie Hamilton of Traverse City, stepchildren Lori (Gary) Bajema of Grand Rapids, Steven (Shelly) Dennis of Bellaire, Jason Dennis of Bellaire, sisters Nita (Dan) Arsnoe of Bellaire, Linda (Bill) Patton of Bellaire, grandchildren Tanner, Haley, Kayla, Zach, C.J., Wes, Andrew, Jordan, Maddison, great grandchildren Grayson, Lakelyn, Oakley, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father Raymond, Stepfather Robert Hamilton, Aunt Ilene Lois, and grandson Payton Dennis.

 

   A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, July 16, at 1 p.m. at the Bellaire Lanes and Games followed by a Celebration of Life at his home, 2160 Kladder Rd, Bellaire.  Memorial contributions can be given to the ChadTough Foundation, PO BOX 907, Saline, MI 48176.
