Raymond Michael “Mike” Ciesinski, age 60, of Cheboygan and formerly of River Rouge, Michigan, passed away on April 10, 2026. Born on May 1, 1965, in Trenton, Michigan, Mike was the beloved son of Raymond and Hilda (Padrta) Ciesinski.
Mike was a man defined by hard work, dedication, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He spent his life working on the railroad where his strong work ethic and reliability earned the respect of those around him. Outside of work, Mike found his greatest joy in the woods and on the water. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, happiest when surrounded by the quiet beauty of nature and the peace it brought. Mike’s legacy of kindness extended beyond his lifetime. In his final act of goodwill, he gave the gift of life through organ donation, a true reflection of his generous spirit.
He is survived by his loving siblings, David (Connie) Ciesinski of East Jordan and Karen (Jeff) Shifferd of Livonia; his nieces, Ava Ciesinski and Lauren (David) Flinn; and his nephew, Braden (Cassandra) Stack. Mike will be deeply missed by his family and all who were fortunate to know him. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Ciesinski.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. Mike’s memory will live on in the stories shared, the woods he loved, and the lives he touched.
Arrangements are in the care of the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
