Phyllis L. Streeter, 94, of Bellaire, passed away October 4, 2021 at Munson Medical Center.

She was born on December 22, 1926, in Jackson, MI, the daughter of Albert and Charlotte (Welch) Spinde.

Phyllis resided in Lansing the majority of her life and was employed for 25 years with the Secretary of State in the Vehicle Services Commercial Lookup Department.  Following retirement, Phyllis fell in love with Bellaire and decided to make it her permanent retirement home.

She enjoyed yard work, reading, Search-A-Word puzzles, and relaxing on her lakefront.  Phyllis also enjoyed attending the Antrim Church of Christ in Mancelona where she was a longtime member.

Surviving is a daughter Debra Hart of Mason, MI, two grandchildren, Mollie (Chad) Deitz of Potterville, MI, Megan (Joshua) Frei, 5 great-grandchildren, Elijah, Rowan, Nora, Samuel, Micah, 2 step great grandsons, Jared and Jordan Frei, along with several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband Thomas J. Streeter, grandson Gary Lee McLellen II, sisters, Alberta, Margaret, Bette, Patricia and her parents.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.   Pastors Mark McCool and Andrew Apps will co-officiate.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

Burial will be in Deepdale Memorial Park in Lansing, MI.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
