Perry John Chaney

Perry J. Chaney 60 of Central Lake, died suddenly Saturday, October 18, 2025. He was born October 5, 1965 in Edmore, the son of Robert L. and Betty J. (Hebden) Chaney.

Perry worked for many years at Harbor Industries in Charlevoix. He enjoyed outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandson.

Surviving is his son Charlie (Krow Grimm) Chaney of Williamsburg, mother Betty Chaney of Central Lake, brother Roger (Sarah) Chaney of Central Lake, step grandson Asher Leeds-Danner. He was preceded in death by his father Robert L. Chaney.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 7th at 4 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Gary Bekkering officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the time of service.
