Pauline Allen

Pauline Arthella Allen, 82, of Mancelona, passed away on June 16, 2026. She was born on June 28, 1943, in Grayling, Michigan, the daughter of Earl and Oma (Fudge) Tice.

On January 20, 1962, in Kalkaska, Pauline married the love of her life, Ron Allen. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service to others.

Pauline's greatest priorities in life were God and her family. She faithfully served for many years as the organist at Bible Baptist Church in Traverse City and shared her love of music through the organ, piano, accordion, and even cowbells. She was an excellent cook who found great joy in feeding others, and her home was always a welcoming place. Whether family, friends, or neighborhood children, everyone knew they would be greeted with warmth, kindness, and a full candy dish.

She loved teaching her children and grandchildren how to cook and bake, passing along treasured recipes and life lessons. Pauline never missed an opportunity to support her family and could always be found cheering on her children and grandchildren at their events and activities. She also enjoyed traveling, canning, and creating lasting memories with those she loved.

Pauline is survived by her three children, Rhonda (Dennis) Jones of Florida, Randy (Tresa) Allen of Mancelona, and Renee Allen of Kalkaska; her grandchildren, Joshua, Timmy, Alyssa, Kerri, Britney, Alexis, Dylan, Deryk, Kirstyn, and Jon; 17 great-grandchildren; her sister, Belinda Plachy; and many special nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ron Allen, and her parents.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Monday, June 22, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. A funeral service will follow at 12:00, with a graveside service being held at 1pm at Fairview Cemetery in Mancelona.

Pauline's legacy of faith, generosity, hospitality, and unconditional love will live on in the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
