Patti Jo Resch

Patti Jo Resch, of Charlevoix, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, surrounded by love and leaving behind a lifetime of memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Born on August 24, 1955, in Cheboygan, Michigan, she was the daughter of Jim Marsh and Mary Marsh. She spent much of her life in Charlevoix, a place she loved and called home.

She was a loving mother to her daughter, Heather Bergeron, and a cherished grandmother to her granddaughter, Ava Bergeron. She is also survived by her brothers, Jim Marsh and his wife, Fran, and John Marsh.

She had a beautiful spirit and a deep love for the Lord. Her faith was an important part of who she was, and she now rejoices in the Spirit of the Lord.

Music brought her great joy, especially singing and playing the guitar. She had a special appreciation for the simple and beautiful things in life. She loved being surrounded by nature and animals and found comfort and happiness in the world around her.

She was also someone with a compassionate heart who believed in helping others. Among the many stories that will be remembered is the time she bravely saved a man from a burning building—a testament to the courage and caring spirit she carried throughout her life.

She leaves behind an immeasurable space in the lives of those who loved her, but also countless memories, laughter, and moments that will be treasured forever.

Though her time on earth has come to an end, her love, laughter, music, and spirit will continue to live on through her family and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

A Celebration of Patti Jo’s Life will be held on September 12 at 1:00 PM at Depot Beach in Charlevoix. We invite family and friends to join us as we come together to remember, celebrate, and honor her beautiful life.
