Patricia Antaya

Patricia Lee Antaya, 83, of Charlevoix, passed away on Tuesday October 12, 2021 surrounded by her family.  She was born on January 2, 1938 in Atlas, MI, the daughter of Michael and Agnes (McCann) Kennedy.

Patricia was a devoted wife and mother of seven children.  She also found the time to work at Hoskins Manufacturing as well as being a home health aide for many years.  She enjoyed knitting, cooking for her large family, spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and reading.  She was also deeply involved at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Charlevoix; she was a member of the Altar Society, she cooked for many luncheons and events, and also implemented the World Rosary Prayer in the Charlevoix area.

Patricia is survived by her seven children, John (MaryJo) Antaya of Charlevoix, Timothy (Ann) Antaya of New Hampshire, Diana Metiva (Larry Clements) of Charlevoix, Daniel (Lori) Antaya of East Jordan, Renee Moore of Charlevoix, Rodney (Holly) Antaya of Holland, and Amy (Jim) Dixon of Atwood; sixteen grandchildren, Jesse (Racheal) Antaya, Jeremy Antaya, Claire (Ron) Dancz, Andrew (Cassie) Antaya, Jason (Ginn) Metiva, Nathan Metiva, Ryan (Bridgette) Antaya, Devon (Zoie) Antaya, Katie (Robert) McLeod, Cole (Melissa) Moore, Brandon Antaya, Mariah (Brett) Hunt, Joe Bose, Sarah Bose, Jordan Dixon, and Zack Dixon; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Antaya; her parents, three brothers, Bernard Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Michael Kennedy; three sisters, Mary Miles, Joanne Wright, Margaret Wogaman, and her grandson Dillon Antaya.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Charlevoix

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m  until 12:00 p.m

Funeral mass at 12:00 p.m. with Fr. Peter Wigton officiating

Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Parish or ASPCA.
