Nicholas James Harvey 30 of Mancelona died Thursday, September 2, 2021 as the result of an automobile accident.

He was born December 26, 1990 in Traverse City the son of Anthony and Lori (Watson) Harvey.  He attended Mancelona Schools and graduated in 2009.

Nick had a big personality and loved to make people laugh and smile.  He always put others first and wanted them happy.  He was a devoted friend and would be there to help when anyone needed.  He was hard working and a dedicated employee of Jim Sherriff’s at J & J Water Well Drilling in Mancelona.  “Working” was his hobby!

The most important job Nick ever had though was being a father.  He was a family man and loved to be with his parents, siblings, and extended family too! Nick also loved to cook and shared his bounty with his family and friends.

On April 20, 2021, in Mancelona he married Autom (Garchow) Harvey, his high school sweetheart, who survives.  Also surviving are his beloved children Peyton, Hunter, Jaxen, and Emmy Harvey, Ryder Meadows, Hailey Lewis all at home, his parents Tony and Lori Harvey of Mancelona, his sister Ashley (Sean) Irvine of Dayton, OH, brother Kyle Harvey of Mancelona, nieces and nephews Avery Irvine, Xavior and Copelynn Harvey, Dexter Aldrick, Jayden Zuzula, Paisley Craft, Kellen and Spencer Ordway, maternal grandparents Sally Milam of Mancelona, Bob (Sandy) Watson of Mancelona, paternal grandparents Adrienne Harvey of Mancelona, Mark (Shaun) Harvey of Traverse City, and his Papa Jim (Billie) Sherriff, brother Stevie (Angie) Sherriff and nephew Jamie Sherriff all of Mancelona, and his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa Mike Milam and special friend brother Jamie Sherriff.

Family will receive friends Saturday, September 4th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 5th at 2 p.m. also at the funeral home.   A Luncheon will follow at Mancelona Middle School hosted by the Landing Restaurant.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to his family to help with the raising of his beloved children.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
