Nancy Lowery

Nancy Mae Lowery, 82, of Mancelona, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2022 at her home with family at her side.  She was born on December 3, 1939, in Bellaire, MI, the daughter of Lloyd and Adrian (Trumble) Finch.

Nancy graduated from Mancelona High School in 1958.  She worked at several factories in the area, including DURA (Gulf&Western) and Egle Picher.  She also worked as a nurses aide at Summertree Residential Center in East Jordan from 2000 to 2016.  She enjoyed gardening - especially tending to her roses, taking care of her cats, and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her son, Dan Cummings of Mancelona; her brother, David (Doll) Finch of Mancelona; two sisters, Mary (Richard) MacNair of OH and Frances Fiedler of Kalkaska; six grandchildren, Etelka (David Allen) Teska, Daniel Cummings Jr., Leachel Lowery, Alisha Cummings, Matthew Cummings, and Michael; and six great-grandchildren, Madeline, Curtis, Daniel III, Adora, Lilly, and Xavier.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Don Cummings; three brothers, Bernard, Louis, and William; and four sisters, Iris, Joyce, Anne, and Beulah.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Antrim Church of Christ in Mancelona.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00.
