Michael Thompson

Michael J. Thompson,  63, of Central Lake, passed away at his home.

Mike was born on May 4, 1957, in Bellaire, the son of Charles "Skip" and Dorothy (Hopp) Thompson.

He worked as a chef for the Sheridan in Lansing for many years prior to moving to Central Lake 7 years ago.  While living up north, he went to work for several area restaurants.

He is survived by his brother Charles "Chuck" (Christine) Thompson of Gaylord, uncle Rich (Mary) Allen of Central Lake, a niece Nicole Thompson of Gaylord, nephew Scott Thompson of Fort Worth, TX, great-nephew Gage Thompson and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be a graveside service in the spring of 2021 at Southern Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made the Central Lake Township Fire and Rescue, Antrim County Commission on Aging or the Central Lake Governmental Center.

Arrangements are being handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
