Marty Huotari

Marty Huotari,  65, of Mancelona, passed away on June 16, 2026.

   He was born on August 13, 1960, in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri the son of John and Rose (Galbraith) Huotari.

    Marty was in Auto Body repair for 45 years and was known as the “perfectionist” wherever he worked.   He started his career at the Mancelona Auto Body, then worked at Chain-O-Lakes auto body in Bellaire then Keiser Collision most recently.

   He loved the outdoors and had a passion for fishing and hunting, as well as beloved John Deere tractor.

   On July 6, 2013, in Mancelona, he married Sherri L. Lewis who survives.   Also surviving are 2 children, Kris Lewis (Annie Silk) of Bellaire, Kristina (Ryan) Morton of Montana, 6 grandchildren, Jace, Wyatt, Azy, Wren, Jackson, Jason, a brother Drake (Karen) Huotari,  sister Katana (Mark) Abbott of Commerce, MI, and his cat Buster who was always by his side.

   He was preceded in death by his parents.

   No services are planned at this time.   A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.

   Memorial contributions may be made to Antrim County Hunter’s Safety Program.  (Address to be posted in the near future).

   Arrangements are in the care of the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
