Marjorie Glyshaw

Marjorie Ellen Glyshaw (Marge) age 86 passed away peacefully Thursday February 12, 2026, at Meadowbrook Medical Care Facility with her loving family by her side.

Marge was born July 7, 1939, in Angola, Ind to Ora Ray McEntarfer and Goldie Mae (Smith). The youngest of 15 children.

Marjorie is predeceased by her husband Jack Glyshaw. She is survived by her sister Sylvia Fitch and her children Susan Evans (Robert), Sandra DeWlde (John) and Joseph Ross Jr., Karis Hollenback, Kathy Nabors (Kirk) and John Glyshaw. She has 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Marge and her husband Jack lived in Bellaire, Mich on Lake of the Woods in their home named Das Nord Haus which they built in 1982. One of her passions was gardening. With her home in the woods, she spent a lot of time picking out perfect flowers that thrived in the shade. And where the sun shined thru the trees planted her sunny garden. Then spent hours weeding at least 5 separate gardens on their property. Learned the art of water coloring. Enjoyed crocheting, collecting Owls and traveling. Was a snowbird in Fla. where she spent a lot of time on the golf course and an active member of Grace Lutheran Church and Church of the Hills.

Marjorie spent the last 3 1/2 years living at Meadowbrook where she was cared for by the dedicated and loving staff. Her husband visited every day until his passing in July 2025.

In closing the family would like to thank the Meadowbrook Medical Care Facility and the staff on Glacier Hills for their continued care and support of our mother and her family.

A memorial celebrating her life will be held on Friday February 20, 2026, at 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church, 16194 Wanigan Drive, Elk Rapids, Mi 49629. With a luncheon to follow.

Marjorie and mom will surely be missed.
