Mariann R. Otmanowski,  91, of Charlevoix, passed away on September 4, 2021 at home.

Mariann was born on February 11, 1930, in Detroit, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Verbai) Kalleal.

She was a bank teller for many years in the Detroit area as well as a clerk for the Sears Catalog Store.   After moving  to Charlevoix, she became a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she was involved in the Altar Society as well as a volunteer for funeral luncheons.   She was active in the American Legion Auxillary, Barnard Grange,  and enjoyed gardening and cross word puzzles.

She is survived by 4 sons, Charles "Chuck" (Debbie) Otmanowski of Fairbanks, AK and FL, Joseph "Joe" Otmanowski (special friend Kim) of Charlevoix, Steven Otmanowski of Charlevoix, Kenneth (Jennifer) Otmanowski of Concord, MI, a daughter Christine (Tim) Turner of Charlevoix, grandchildren, Thomas, Caitlin, Emily, Rachael, Rebecca Otmanowski, and Hunter and Payton Turner.

Preceding her in death were her husband Chester Otmanowski in 2008, several siblings and her parents.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 9, 2021  from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.

Funeral Mass on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Charlevoix.

Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Charlevoix.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Charlevoix Area Humane Society, 614 Beardsley St., Boyne City, MI,  49712 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN,  38105.
