Marian Robbins-Hansen

It is with profound sadness the family of Marian Louise (Hansen) Robbins 90, of Mancelona announces her peaceful passing at home on Friday July 24th, 2020 surrounded by those who loved and adored her.  Marian born on May 3rd, 1930 to Jay and Mamie Hulbert (Jenny) in Mancelona and was a life-long resident, where she was valued and respected by many.

A wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend, Marian’s undeniable zest for life, love for her family and friends, and the astounding legacy she leaves behind will live on forever in the lives that she touched.  Marian was a tender but strong and dedicated matriarch, where she found the most joy in spending time with her family and her best four-legged friends Baby Doll and Izzy, tending to her award winning flowers, and simply living life to the fullest.   The level of devotion as a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother that Marian showed everyone in her family, was indeed her most exemplary attribute, that she cultivated lovingly, and could never be replicated.  Marian was the very essence of compassion, selflessness, and beauty. There is no doubt that Marian was infinitely loved, forever cherished, and will be terribly missed.  Her life was a living example of an immense devotion and faith in God, which carried her through her struggles in life, and rewarded her in her death.

Marian was the beloved wife of the late, Edgar (Sonny) Robbins, and the late, Hans Hansen.  She was also preceded in death by her two sons, Daniel and James Robbins, daughter in law Darlene Robbins, son in law Glen Bryan, three grandsons, Jimmy and Jeff Robbins, and Leonard Swadling, granddaughter, Stephanie Taylor, great granddaughter Haley Stevens, three sisters, Anna and Jenny Hulbert, and Nina Strickland, brother Jay Hulbert and her parents.

Marian will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Dale Robbins of Mancelona, Sherry (Carl) Kuczynski of Mancelona, and Sharon Bryan of Alden.  Additionally, she is also survived by 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Her last resting spot will be alongside her first husband Edgar Robbins, in Fairview Cemetery.  A private graveside celebration of her life is planned.

In honor of Marian memorial contributions all expressions of sympathy can be directed to Antrim County Animal Shelter P.O. Box 568, Bellaire, MI, 49615.

Arrangements are being handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  Please sign her online guestbook at www.mortensenfuneralhomes.com
