Marian J. Grody

Marian J. Grody 93 lifelong resident of Mancelona, passed away May 19, 2023.  She was born Dec. 27, 1929 in Mancelona the daughter of George and Hildegard Johnson.

   Marian loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and for years shared her love of flowers by planting flowers in downtown Mancelona.  She also enjoyed going to garage sales, antiquing, and refinishing old furniture.  Over the years she bowled, knitted, sewed, canned lots of fruits and vegetables and attend the United Methodist Church of Mancelona too.

   Left to cherish her memories are her sons Ron (Carol) Grody of Belding, Larry (Carol) Grody of Mancelona, and Rick (Carolyn) Grody of Mancelona, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Elmer Grody and daughter Bonnie Alimonda.

   Graveside services will be held Friday, June 16^th at 2 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.  Memorial contributions can be given to the Mancelona Fire Department or The United Methodist Church of Mancelona.
