Mardell L. Dawson

Mardell L. Dawson,  88, of Bellaire, passed away on June 2, 2022 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.

   Mardell was born on August 15, 1933 in Bellaire, the daughter of Ordon and Coral (Perkins) Hierlihy.

   Her main priority in life was her family and enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s events.   You could often find her manicuring the outside of her home or volunteering at the Bellaire Historical Society.

   Surviving are a son William (Suzanne) Dawson, a daughter Susan (Mark) Valley both of Bellaire, 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

   Preceding her in death were her husband Melvin Dawson, daughter Kathleen Kasuba, son Terry Dawson, brother Ordon Hierlihy Jr, sister-in-law Irma Hierlihy and her parents.

   Funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Dan Phillips officiating.

   Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire.

   Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Arrangements are being handled by the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
