Louis Ray Scholl

Louis Ray Scholl, 84, of Mancelona, passed away on April 13, 2026. He was born on October 1, 1941, in Mancelona, the son of Edgar and Lenora (Wiederhold) Scholl.

Louis enjoyed playing music. He was proficient at lead and bass guitar. He was known to play at places like club 131, church, and the senior center. He loved spending time outside in his garden. Louis was also known for officiating many funerals and ministering at the local jails.

Throughout the duration of his working days, Louis worked at Bob’s Auto, and the Antrim County Road Commission for 16 years.

Surviving Louis is his wife, Catherine, children, James (Sheryl) Scholl, Edwin Scholl, Mike Scholl, Mark Scholl, Kelly Burghard, David Grody, Richard (Garnet) Grody, Gordon Grody Jr., Kim Rupright, one sister, Barbara (Gary) Curths.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Scholl, children, Jeffrey Grody, two brothers, Raymond Scholl, Jack Scholl, two grandsons, Dustin Bryce, Brandon Gault.

Louis leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 31, 2026, at 2pm, at 6335 Satterly Lake Road, Mancelona, MI, 49659.
