Lois Kent

Lois Elaine Kent (Mills) was born on October 26^th 1933 in Lansing, MI. She married the love of her life, Fred Kent, in 1953. She was the proud parent of Roger (Theresa) Kent, Shelley (John) Fredrickson, & Sharon ‘Sherry’ Kent, a prouder grandparent of Timothy, Shawn, Andrew, Carrie, & Kathleen, and the proudest great grandma to 11 great grandchildren.

Lois was an active member of the Bellaire Community United Methodist Church taking on many tasks over the years including Wacky Wednesdays, organizing funeral luncheons, and folding bulletins.

Lois enjoyed camping, cross-country skiing, bowling, golfing, mushroom hunting, and most of all… rubbing in EVERY win she got playing games with her family & neighborhood kids.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bill & Lionel, baby sister Judy, husband Fred, son-in-law John, and son Roger. Unbeknownst to her, she also outlived her beloved dog Belle, whom she believed was still cross-country skiing in Colorado.

Lois loved watching sports, both professional & local, and was a devout Tigers fan. She will be continuing to cheer them on from up above. She takes credit and welcomes ‘thank yous’ in your prayers for the current run of the Detroit Lions.

Please join family and friends on Saturday October 7^th at 11 am for dessert and refreshments at the Bellaire Methodist Church, as we gather to celebrate almost 90 years of life while sharing stories and memories.
