Linda “Lynn” Samuel, 78 of Central Lake and formerly of Hemlock, passed away at home with her husband at her side on November 13, 2025. She was born March 25, 1947 in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Carl Sr. and Wanda Roberts
Lynn graduated from Central Michigan University with her Bachelor’s degree in education. She was the art teacher in the Hemlock School District for many years and painted murals on several of the school walls. Upon moving north, Lynn went to work at the BP Gas Station in Central Lake, and was a dedicated, friendly employee for over 15 years. She was a member of the Central Lake Lions and also enjoyed doing arts and crafts. For many years Lynn could be found enjoying her favorite fishing hole on Benway Lake.
On July 29, 1972 in Merrill, MI, she married Robert J. Samuel, her husband of 53 years, who survives. Also surviving are children BJ Samuel, Josh Samuel, grandchildren Angel, Jenna, Kasey, brothers-in-law Dan, Don, Jim, Ron, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Carl Robert Jr, and brother-in-law Jim.
