Lawrence Edward Hallendy, 65, of Eastport, passed away on July 15, 2025. He was born on October 30, 1959, in Mt. Clemens, MI, the son of William and Margaret (Morocco) Hallendy.

Larry spent most of his summer's at his relatives' resorts on Torch Lake. He loved it so much, that he moved to Eastport 10 years ago. Larry's early career was spent in automotive modeling where he created exquisitely detailed models of actual sized vehicles made of cardboard for various car companies. Larry was a talented musician, who specifically enjoyed playing guitar in several bands with his brothers, cousins, and friends. When he wasn’t playing the guitar, Larry liked to have and work on cars. He also enjoyed creating various drawings and sketches through his artistic abilities.

Surviving Larry in death are five siblings, three sisters, Patricia Hallendy of Holly, Bonita (Paul) Wasinski of Clinton Township, Sandra Hallendy of Roseville, two brothers, William (Gail) Hallendy of Chesterfield, Richard Hallendy of Roseville, 12 nieces and nephews, 11 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Preceding Larry in death are his parents, and a nephew Gary.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 28th at 10:30 a.m. at Lakeview Cemetery, 4610 NE Torch Lake Drive, Central Lake, MI 49622.

Arrangements are in the care of the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
