Lanny LaRae Rowe

Lanny L. Rowe, 79, of Central Lake, formerly of Sweetwater, TN and Dimondale, MI, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus on February 9, 2026. He was born on April 6, 1946, in Lansing, MI, the son of Charles E. And Velma L. (Billips) Rowe.

Lanny worked as a truck driver for many years where he covered all but one of the lower 48 states. It wasn’t just a job to him, he loved doing it. He also enjoyed working outdoors, hunting, fishing and was know to take his family on the occasional “spontaneous road trip”

Most of all he was a loving grandfather, and family man who loved the Lord.

On July 22, 1976, in Sandusky, OH, he married Sandra K. Conklin who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Lana (Matt) Oliver of East Jordan, LeeAnn (Jamie) Burcham of Mulliken, MI, 5 grandchildren, Garrett, Gwen, and Gibson Oliver, TY and Ava Burcham, a brother Jeff (Janet) Rowe of Madisonville, TN, a sister Margie Martin of Harrison, MI as well as many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents and 3 brothers, Charles, Carl and Osler Rowe.

A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, at Burkhead-Green Kilgo Funeral Home, 206 W. Lawrence Ave, Charlotte, MI 48813.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
