Kenneth C. Christiansen

Kenneth C. Christiansen, 103, of Eastport, passed away on June 6, 2026. He was born on December 19, 1922, in Stanton, the son of Albert and Marie (Hansen) Christiansen.

Ken served in the US Army and protected his country from 1943-1945.

After returning from the war, he would go on to fall in love with and marry Myrtle, in 1946. They shared a life together for 69 years until her death in 2017. He owned Sinclair Oil in Greenville until he and Myrt moved up north in 1965 and built their house in the woods. Ken worked as a builder for several contractors over the years. He was loved and respected for his kindness and fairness, his ready smile, laughter, and most of all his wisdom.

Ken is survived by two children, Mary (Silas) Doctor, Dave (Julie) Christiansen, daughter in law, Paula Christiansen, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents, loving wife, Myrtle, one son, Gerry.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, from 1-2 pm at the Charlevoix Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. A memorial service will be held at 2pm, with burial taking place at 3pm at Brookside Cemetery. 

Arrangements are in the care of the Charlevoix Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
