Karen Lee Vasher

Karen Lee Vasher, 66, of Central Lake, passed away on June 30, 2026.

Born on September 11, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan, Karen was the beloved daughter of George and Virginia (Lee) Noller. She lived a life centered on family and found great joy in the people she loved most.

Karen enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She was a devoted fan of the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings and could often be found cheering on her favorite teams. She loved watching true crime television shows, sipping a Diet Pepsi, trying her luck with scratch-off tickets, and indulging in some of her favorite comfort foods, including peanut butter, coconut pie, and homemade meatloaf. These everyday joys, along with the time she spent with her family, brought her happiness throughout her life.

Karen is survived by her four children: Jeremiah (Tiffany Ritchie) Kendall of Central Lake, Amanda (Walter Schultz) Hobbs of Central Lake, Kevin (Sherri) Kendall of Central Lake, and Matthew (Heather) Youmans of East Jordan. She also leaves behind several cherished grandchildren Emma, Ella, Evan, Marley, Leora, Cayden, Delaynie (Bird) Booth, Ketryna, Trinitie, two great-grandchildren Noelle and Josephine, extended family members, and many friends who will miss her dearly.

Preceding Karen in death are four sisters, Donnie, Denise, Carol, Marylin, one brother, Jim.

Karen will be remembered for the love she had for her family, her sense of humor, and the many memories she created with those closest to her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 15th at 2 p.m. at the Central Lake First Congregational Church with the family receiving friends from Noon until the time of service.
