June E. Fairbanks Riley 2/4/1922-12/3/2023

If you were lucky enough to know Mrs. Riley you may have:

-Marveled at the fanciful cakes she decorated, customized especially for you.

-You may have received a hand-painted greeting card, personalized for your special day.

-You may have earned a merit badge or had an unforgettable experience at Camp Sea Gull with her Girl Scout troop #

-You may have snuggled a hand-sewn baby doll she made for newborns at Charlevoix Area Hospital.

-You may have started your cooking & sewing skills at the weekly meetings of the 4H club she led.

-You probably remember the words to Sunday school songs you learned as long ago as 75 years or sat quietly as you folded your hands to pray…

-Or you may have been a classmate with one of her daughters: Ruth Ann(Robert)Chapman, Carla(Gary)Spencer, Joan(Henry)Wagner, Gayle(Gerald)Andersen.

-You may know the grandchildren she loved so much: Gary (Betsy) Chapman, Ember Witthoeft & Jordan Spencer, Ann (Dion) Sullivan & Ty Wagner, Chris (Kim) Andersen. Also 8 great grandchildren: Jasmine Henriksen, Stone & Miles Crockett, Rilyn, Katherine & Jonell Wagner, Delaney & Caleb Andersen.

And 3 great-greats: Laila & Rory Stevenson and Henry Henriksen.

-You may remember a loved one who had passed from her long life: Husband Clifford "Tip" Riley, her parents, John and Agnes Fairbanks, brothers Ronald (Grace) Fairbanks, Leo (Dorothy) Fairbanks, a special son-in-law Henry Wagner and 2 beloved grandsons Gary Chapman & Jordan Spencer.

Final interment will take place at the Brookside Cemetery, in the spring. The family wants to thank Hospice of Michigan for the gentle care they offered not only to June but to her family as well. A memorial contribution can be made to Hospice or a charity of your choice.
